If you are searching for that luxury living with a gorgous view of the sunset and all the amenities, Sunset Key is for you. This 27 acre island was purchase by a developer and construction was started in 1994 on the island. Originally belonging to the Navy, the island was used for fuel storage and used to be named "Tank Island". Today this island is just on the other side of Key West Harbor and is only reachable by boat. Sunset Key offers spacious luxury island homes, most with a view of the ocean and some just steps from a white sandy beach. The Key West style homes have the traditional architecure carried over from homes in Key West and many of them have spacious outdoor living with pools, spas and decks. There is also a restaurant and community pool on the island and one section is devoted to the Hilton Sunset Key Guest Cottages. These cottages are available for nightly accommodations.

Casa Marina Area of Key West

The Casa Marina area of Key West is located on the south side of the island, around the area of the Casa Marina hotel. This area boasts some of the largest properties on the island with spacious land surrounding fine residences. The area is within walking distance to Higgs Beach, the White Street Pier and close to Smathers Beach. There are many sidewalks and walkways around the community. The Casa Marina area borders Old Town and New Town Key West and even the surrounding areas offer some fine luxury Key West homes.

Key Haven Waterfront Homes

Key Haven is just off the island of Key West located near mile marker 5. This is one of the most desireable neighborhoods outside Key West and 90% of the community has water access. Key Haven's proper name is Racoon Key and is on the Gulf side of US-1. The area has a marina close by and pleasure boats with shallow draft can get in and out of Key Haven easily.
